The department has encouraged many students to travel in Italy and Greece, whether in the summer or for a full semester. Students interested in studying in Rome are encouraged to consider the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies (), and those interested in studying in Greece are encouraged to consider College Year in Athens (). Foreign study and travel are facilitated by Wabash’s membership in the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies and in the American School of Classical Studies at Athens ( ).
